Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Portugal - Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on Android in Portugal showcased varied trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a consistent download rate, starting at around 10.4K weekly downloads and maintaining a steady range throughout the quarter, closing with approximately 8K downloads. Active users for Waze showed fluctuations, beginning at 790K and seeing a peak of 816K in late February, ending the quarter at about 775K.

Via Verde saw a significant peak in downloads at the end of January with 9.9K, followed by a decline to 4.3K by the end of March. Active users started at 91K and, despite some ups and downs, ended the quarter at approximately 87K.

Google Earth maintained a stable download rate, ranging from 3.1K to 3.9K weekly. The app's active users began at 42K and grew steadily, reaching 54.5K by the end of the quarter.

Radar, Speedometer, GPS, HUD showed a declining trend in downloads, starting at 1.9K and dropping to 1K by late March. Active users increased initially from 2.4K to 5.5K by early February, before settling at around 4.3K.

Map Drive - Radar, Speedometer saw a rise in downloads, peaking at 3.4K in March. Active users followed a similar upward trend, starting at 5K and ending the quarter at 8.3K.
